Stradivari Welcomes ONYX and Gerbeaud
Join us as we rise to new heights! The team behind the highly acclaimed Gerbeaud brand is planning a unique array of culinary concepts that will soon enhance the current dining experience for guests of the Aria Hotel Budapest, not only at Stradivari, High Note SkyBar, but throughout the hotel.
Budapest’s legendary Gerbeaud Café is one of Europe’s oldest, largest and most famous cafés and confectioneries. Gerbeaud was established in 1858 by Henrik Kugler, and its second owner, Émile Gerbeaud made it world-famous by the turn of the century. The French spirit and a Parisian atmosphere that Émile introduced to his splendid establishment was happily embraced by the Budapest public. The Swiss born pastry chef and chocolatier also introduced numerous innovations and quality of the highest standards: baked goods were beautifully decorated; sweets and bon-bons were packaged in artistic paper boxes of his own design.
Just like the founding fathers, Katalin Pinter, owner of the family-owned Gerbeaud Group strives to make each Gerbeaud offering an exceptional experience for the guests. Katalin, together with daughter, Anna and son, Attila Niszkács, have founded and operate Michelin-star Onyx Restaurant, bringing local ingredients and Hungarian tradition to the table with contemporary cooking techniques and welcoming, impeccable service. They also own and operate Émile, a restaurant, café, bar and confectionary in a beautiful Buda cottage, and Bistro, a Hungarian restaurant located in Gerbeaud House in the heart of Budapest. With its sterling international reputation, the family has also established Gerbeaud Cafés in Seoul and in Tokyo.
In Spring of 2017, Gerbeaud's culinary expertise is set to elevate the Aria Hotel Budapest's already highly praised guest experience, not only in Stradivari Restaurant and High Note SkyBar but also including extraordinary packages for weddings, social, and corporate events. Follow Aria Hotel Budapest on Social Media and prepared for announcements on new offerings that will delight locals as well as travelers from around the world.
Stradivari is open every day for breakfast, lunch, wine and cheese, and dinner.
